Problems With Today's Education System:

Education makes man human. That's true! Skills, knowledge and learning from school and college, in our later years, take us well into our personal and professional lives. However, is our education system good enough to prepare children for the future of their country, to live their best lives? Let's find the answers

1 Encouraging teachers

The biggest problem with education in the United States is that the entire teaching staff has the same pay structure. The Department of Education does not fully recognize or compensate teachers who put in extra effort or take the initiative to be innovative and creative in their teaching methods. This encourages teachers to some extent and thus, in many of them, can lead to poor performance. Moreover, due to the low salaries of teachers, intelligent and capable people do not want to enter this profession at all. This could lead to a shortage of quality teachers in the United States in the future.

2 Less focus on science and math

The American education system does not focus on the most important subjects, science, math, and language. Research has shown that the United States lags far behind countries like Japan in instilling scientific passion in its students. Also, countries like Russia, Sweden, Italy and Canada run awareness campaigns from time to time to encourage children to read and write. Such measures are not given due importance in the United States. Not surprisingly, in many cities, the dropout rate has reached almost 50%.

3 Lack of opportunities

It is often seen that students from poor families go to government schools. The problems of education in government schools are manifold. One of the major drawbacks of public schools is that they are technically backward. This means that children from poor families are already lagging behind compared to those who go to private schools, as these schools are very advanced in terms of technology and teaching methods. This difference is the biggest problem of our education system.

4 Only one language

Most students in the United States know only one language, English. Compare that to students in Europe and other Middle Eastern countries who know two, three or more! Today, when the world has become a small place, people from different cultures and countries working together in multinationals, it benefits multilingual students from other countries to American students who can only speak English. ۔

5 Racial and economic segregation

Research shows that in schools, groups are formed among students, based on the race or economic class of the society, belonging to the students. It is also observed that teachers treat immigrant and African American students differently. These students develop a lot of self-esteem problems when they grow up.

6 Teacher expectations

There is a strange phenomenon that is seen in both public and private schools, which is proving to be detrimental to the knowledge and learning of the students. In schools, teachers 'expectations are based on students' faces and race. When it comes to African Americans, there are stereotypes that they are slow learners and will only perform well in sports like basketball and football. Therefore, most educators expect that African American students will benefit little from intellectual pursuits and thus may have a detrimental effect on these students. Not surprisingly, most students in science and math clubs are white, while sports organizations are full of blacks.

7 Other issues

In addition to the problems mentioned above, there are other issues - widening the gap in academic performance of boys and girls (boys' grades are declining rapidly, especially as they reach higher grades), rich or middle class Students from families are doing well in education. Public schools, on the other hand, run the risk of leaving behind poor families and ultimately lacking funds to upgrade infrastructure, curricula and teacher standards.

As you can see, there are many problems in the education system. Therefore, it can be rightly said that it will take a lot of initiative, enthusiasm and hard work on the part of the government administration, schools and teachers to eradicate these negative measures affecting the education system.
